Hiking/Mountain-biking

With its many paths and trails the forest surrounding Pielenhofen invites you to hike and mountain-bike.

And for anyone who wants a relaxed biking tour, we recommend the biking path along side "Naab" to the 10km distant artists' village Kallmünz. There you can visit the Castle ruins and enjoy ice cream at the weir.

Walhalla

Approx. 25 km from Pielenhofen is the world-famous hall of fame built by the Bavarian King Ludwig I. This impressive structure is perfect for a day trip. The Walhalla can be reached both by car and by boat from Regensburg.

Canoeing

For anyone who wants to discover the "Naabtal" form the water can rent different boats (e.g. Canoe, Kayak and SUP) from the local boat rental "Bootsverleih-Pielenhofen".

Regensburg

Approx. 15 km from Pielenhofen you can find the beautiful Unesco World Heritage City of Regenburg. The old town is very impressive with its many alleys and historical buildings, which invite you to stroll through them. Furthermore Regensburg is not called the northernmost city in Italy for nothing.
